Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuro Sasaki!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin ducks right into an uppercut from Sasaki.
Sasaki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sasaki dodges the punch combination from Carwin.
Sasaki misses with a body shot.
Carwin swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Carwin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Carwin could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Carwin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Sasaki swings for the body but Carwin moves out of range.
Sasaki avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sasaki jabs at Carwin's body.
Carwin thows a body shot but no joy.
Carwin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sasaki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sasaki misses with a body shot.
Sasaki cracks a nice hook into Carwin's ribs.
Carwin throws a sloppy body shot
and Sasaki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sasaki keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carwin.
Carwin ducks under a wild hook from Sasaki.
Carwin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sasaki is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Carwin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sasaki moves away.
Sasaki lands an overhand right.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sasaki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carwin.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carwin misses with a double jab
and Sasaki counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Shane Carwin has been cut.
Carwin is breathing heavily.
Carwin throws a hook to the side of Sasaki's head but Sasaki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Sasaki lands with an overhand left.
Sasaki uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carwin.
Carwin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sasaki.
Sasaki cracks Carwin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sasaki connects with a body shot.
Sasaki is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Carwin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sasaki lands a nice shot that snaps Carwin's head back.
Sasaki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Carwin is rocked!
Carwin is holding his hands too far apart here. Sasaki throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Carwin is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
