Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cliche Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonny West is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cliche Guevara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonny West!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guevara throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A slow jab from West misses its intended target.
Guevara looks to land a left hand but West moved out of range nicely.
West throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Guevara.
West fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guevara manages to avoid it.
Guevara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by West.
Decent striking displayed by West there.
A looping hook to the body misses from West. Guevara does a little dance to reset his feet.

Guevara throws a nice looking combination but West bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lazy left from West finds it's target.

and Guevara counters with a straight right hand.
Guevara dives in and grabs West's left leg, looking for a takedown. West pushes down on Guevara's head and hops out.
West misses with a few strikes there.
West gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Guevara throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

so Guevara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Guevara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. West swivels though and keeps the full guard.
West wants to sweep here but Guevara controlling him for the moment.

Guevara postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! West is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Guevara, into his guard.

West wants to control from the top but Guevara keeps moving.
West must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
West might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Guevara kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
West keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Guevara's head.
West is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Guevara connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Guevara fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
West gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Guevara bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of West's head.
Guevara throws the left hand but West avoids the punch easily.
West throws a left and a right that both miss
and Guevara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jonny West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guevara swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

West drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

West shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Guevara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but West circles away quickly and effectively.

Guevara closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. West did well to prevent Guevara getting side control.

Guevara is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West is defending against the submission attempts here by Guevara.

Guevara seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. West is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
