The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

French closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - French lands in his opponent's guard.

Some working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. French doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. French manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
French is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

French is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Some knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Some for a finish.

French must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
