Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Get Some!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phil French!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

French closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - French lands in his opponent's guard.

French is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

French has hold of Some's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Some manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The referee warns Some that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

French can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Some is looking to escape.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Some stuffs the takedown attempt from French. French gets slowly back to his feet.
Get Some is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Some drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Some reaches up to try and control the position but French seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Some rolls and tries to escape and now French has his back!

French is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Some knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Some for a finish.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

French must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
French stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Some swivels though and keeps the full guard.
French connects with a couple of short punches.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Phil French showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Phil French.
I've got French winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
