ILJONG comes to the cage accompanied by Jeff Healey Band - When the Night Comes Falling From the Sky. Cox has chosen Solitaire Unraveling as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cox throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cox swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
ILJONG slips a jab from Cox.
ILJONG throws the kick towards the body but Cox avoids it.

ILJONG clinches up with Cox and pushes him back against the cage.
ILJONG misses with a short punch on the inside.
ILJONG scores with a shoulder strike.
ILJONG keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cox's efforts to push away.
A quick uppercut on the inside from ILJONG.
ILJONG looks to throw an elbow but misses.
ILJONG working some nice short punches in the clinch.
ILJONG works on Cox's body with a couple of short punches.
ILJONG tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cox avoids it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by ILJONG.
ILJONG is working Cox over against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cox takes a shot to the head.
ILJONG lands with a light punch inside.
ILJONG pushes off an throws an elbow but Cox leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
ILJONG digs a right hand underneath Cox's ribcage. Cox let out a lung full of air as it connected.

ILJONG breaks from the clinch.
Cox tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but ILJONG was well out of range. Poor timing from Cox.
Cox wants to slow ILJONG down by chopping away at his legs.
Cox chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before ILJONG can pounce on him.
ILJONG tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cox swats him away and circles back towards the center.
ILJONG on the wrong end of a nice jab.

ILJONG leaves Cox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
ILJONG cracks the inside of Cox's front leg.

ILJONG fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cox on the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
ILJONG slips a straight right by Cox.
Cox takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
ILJONG lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
ILJONG cracks Cox with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Decent striking displayed by ILJONG there.

ILJONG has managed to clinch.

ILJONG's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A looping hook to the body misses from ILJONG. Cox does a little dance to reset his feet.
ILJONG throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Cox counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cox drops his hands momentarily and ILJONG takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

ILJONG pushes Cox back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
ILJONG lands with a short shot to the head.
ILJONG pushes Cox back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

ILJONG swings wildly with an uppercut but Cox uses good head movement to avoid it.

ILJONG has Cox pressed against the cage, preventing Cox from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Cox manages to break the clinch.
Cox tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
ILJONG works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cox closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
ILJONG digs a good hook to Cox's body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A decent looking cross lands there for ILJONG.
Cox chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before ILJONG can pounce on him.
ILJONG throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cox stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Cox takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim ILJONG dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

ILJONG lands a left and a right that send Cox crashing to the mat, dazed. ILJONG thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cox is rocked!
ILJONG drops Cox with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cox! ILJONG dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
