PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Bueno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Hawla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawla comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ten Thousand Fists kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Bueno misses.
Bueno throws a series of punches but Hawla avoids them all with ease.
Bueno connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Johnny Hawla has been cut.
Hawla swats away the attempt to clinch by Bueno.
Bueno wants to slow Hawla down by chopping away at his legs.
Bueno finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bueno tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawla swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hawla misses with a few strikes there.
Bueno scores with a hook to the body. Hawla takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hawla looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bueno is fending him off so far but Hawla persists. Nope, Bueno circles away and we're back to standing.
Bueno keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bueno tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hawla paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bueno connects with a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fight stays on the outside here - Bueno looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bueno tries to clinch up but Hawla circles away and keeps his distance.

Hawla takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Bueno drops Hawla with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hawla looks back up at him and smiles so Bueno waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Hawla is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bueno tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawla swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bueno finds Hawla's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hawla flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Bueno lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hawla will be OK.
