The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSonto throws a head kick that misses.
DeSonto displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yamaguchi throws out the jab.
DeSonto dives in and grabs Yamaguchi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yamaguchi pushes down on DeSonto's head and hops out.
DeSonto gets caught flat footed, as Yamaguchi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Yamaguchi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of DeSonto's head.
Yamaguchi chips away with some ground and pound.
Yamaguchi advances to half guard.
Yamaguchi prevents DeSonto from improving his position.
DeSonto is trying to stand back up but Yamaguchi is controlling him
DeSonto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Yamaguchi scores with a couple of nice shots.
DeSonto is rocked!
Yamaguchi scores with a big shot! DeSonto's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save DeSonto! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
