Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jung Sung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Crash by Fit for Rivals. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jung Sung Kim!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kim fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Kim misses with the combination.
Kim throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Valentine sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kim throws a shot from downtown. Valentine moves away and avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kim uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Valentine.
Kim throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kim tries to bum rush Valentine with a series of wild strikes but Valentine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Kim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Kim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Valentine throws a body punch but Kim moves out of range.

Kim drives through and clinches with Valentine against the cage.

Kim lands a right hand.
Valentine is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Kim will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Valentine up against the cage.
Kim lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Kim tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kim on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kim turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Kim wants to control but Valentine is keeping him busy.
Valentine is looking for a sweep.

Kim is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Valentine has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Valentine keeps working.
Valentine sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Valentine wants to improve his position but Kim is controlling well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
I looks like Kim might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Kim has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Valentine looks to score with a jab to the body but Kim is just out of range.

Kim bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kim misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kim throws an elbow but Valentine slips to the side and avoids it well.
Valentine is looking to reverse the position.

Valentine sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kim lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Valentine regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kim.

Valentine is looking for a triangle but Kim pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Valentine is retaining full guard.

Valentine is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kim is aware though and is defending well.
Kim not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kim thows a body shot but no joy.
A right-left combo lands from Kim.
Kim takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Kim loads up on a big right hand but Valentine slips the punch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kim cracks a nice hook into Valentine's ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jung Sung Kim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Well Kim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
