The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Strenglov.

Chornya has taken the fight to the clinch.

Chornya pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Strenglov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chornya's waist but Chornya gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Strenglov off to one side.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chornya fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Strenglov shoots in and bounces Chornya off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Chornya shoots in and drives through. Strenglov sprawls well.
Strenglov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chornya swivels and escapes.

Chornya closes the distance and clinches up with Strenglov, looking for a takedown. Chornya pushes Strenglov against the cage but Strenglov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chornya is on top in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Strenglov is looking for a sweep. Chornya is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Chornya stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Chornya shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Strenglov pinned against the cage. Strenglov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Strenglov tries to clinch but Chornya moves away

and Chornya counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Chornya.
Strenglov is trying to break the clinch but Chornya is controlling him.
Strenglov avoiding damage as Chornya throws knees to the body.

Strenglov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Chornya prevents it.

Strenglov is trying to defend against the choke here but Chornya has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Chornya Tightens the hold and Strenglov taps out furiously! Chornya displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
