Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawkins Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Joker & The Thief. Jon Jackson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dawkins Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson thumps Sanchez with a low kick.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.
Sanchez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jackson.
Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps Sanchez's head back.
Jackson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanchez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson misses with a body shot.
Sanchez throws a one two combo.
Jon Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jackson.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sanchez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jackson is trying desperately to improve position.
A nice elbow there by Sanchez.
Jackson has given up his back here.
Jackson trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Jackson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Sanchez gets his way!
Jackson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sanchez's guard. Nice work there by Jackson.
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Jackson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sanchez, who protects the arm well.
Sanchez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Jackson's best efforts.
Sanchez wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez moves into full guard.
Sanchez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.

Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jackson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jon Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jackson dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.
Jackson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jackson lands with a nice body punch.
Jackson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sanchez is out of range.
Sanchez lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jackson tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Jackson misses with a combination

and Sanchez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sanchez.
Jackson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sanchez's efforts to push away.
Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A left hand lands to the body for Jackson.
Sanchez looks gassed!
Sanchez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jackson scores with a nice hook to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson digs a right hand into Sanchez's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sanchez's gas tank.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jackson lands an uppercut.
Jackson scores with a hook to the body.
Jackson using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson lands with a short shot to the head.
Jackson trying to stall but Sanchez improves his position.
Jackson has Sanchez pressed against the cage.

Jackson lands a nice shot to the body.
Jackson lands with a left to the head.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
A right hook to the body lands for Jackson.
Jackson cracks Sanchez with a nice body shot.

It looks like Dawkins Sanchez has been cut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson stalling in the clinch but Sanchez improves position.
A short body shot lands from Jackson as the two fighters clinch.
The referee calls for Jackson to work.
Sanchez is trying to stall.
Sanchez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jackson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sanchez.
Jackson misses with a looping left.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanchez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sanchez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sanchez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.

Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sanchez tries to move into range but Jackson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Jon Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jackson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sanchez moves out of range of the body kick from Jackson.
Sanchez slips a jab and a cross from Jackson.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
Sanchez misses with a looping left.
Sanchez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Jackson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jackson won't be happy with that.
Jackson is looking for a sweep.

Sanchez is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jackson looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sanchez gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jackson is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sanchez lets go of the hold and Jackson can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dawkins Sanchez!
