The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Flores tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barnett just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Barnett lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Flores backwards.

Barnett is looking to control Flores's arms but Flores gets an underhook and turns him. Now Barnett has his back to the ropes.

Barnett has Flores pressed against the ropes, preventing Flores from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Flores escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Barnett lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Flores has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Flores and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Flores shoots in for a double leg but Barnett sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Flores. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnett thows a body shot but no joy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Barnett crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Flores - the referee stops the clock and Barnett gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Flores. Barnett manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
