PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Danny Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Get Some (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Get Some!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Some shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kane manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Some trying to control but Kane is working from the bottom.
Some looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane looking to control.
Some won't allow Kane to sweep him here.
Some throwing strikes from guard but Kane blocks nicely.

Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Some on the ground.
Some trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Some avoids the head kick by Kane.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kane looks to land a combination but Some avoids it well.
Kane misses with a two punch combination.
Kane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Some showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kane.
Kane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some dodges the punch combination from Kane.
Kane connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Some momentarily.
Kane tries to clinch but Some is having none of it.
Kane throws a head kick but Some moves out of range.

Kane avoiding damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Some looking for a takedown.
Some has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kane is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Some looks gassed!
Some is trying to drag Kane to the mat but Kane just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Danny Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Get Some.
Some letting Kane take a breather here.

Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kane tries to clinch up but Some circles away and keeps his distance.
Kane misses with a body kick.
Kane throws a nice looking combination but Some bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kane scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kane lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A combination from Kane does no damage.

Kane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Some closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Some lands in his opponent's guard.

Some drops back looking for a leg! Kane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kane manages to kick Some off! Some jumps back into Kane's guard.

Kane wants to stand but Some is controlling the position.
Some thows a big elbow that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Some with a flurry of punches that miss.

Some drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kane manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Some has Kane in his guard.
Kane is stalling in the full guard.
Kane wants to get up but he can't break Some's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Kane has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Some to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kane is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Some pulls down on the head and he's put Kane to sleep! This one is all over!
