Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Deal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deal comes into the arena with Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Deal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wanderlei Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Anderson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Anderson wants to pass the guard but Deal is keeping the position.
Deal wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deal lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Deal.

Anderson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Deal is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Deal here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close second round but I would say that Al Deal will probably get the nod.
