Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Suomela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdemar Kosonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kosonen's choice of entrance music: Mad Sin - Burn and Rise . Seppo Suomela has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suomela takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kosonen connects with a jab.
Kosonen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Suomela.

Kosonen moves into the clinch.
Kosonen lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Seppo Suomela has been cut.
Suomela tries to score a body lock takedown but Kosonen shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kosonen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Suomela up against the cage.
Kosonen lands an elbow that stopped Suomela in his tracks for a moment.

Kosonen turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kosonen manages to end up in side control.
Kosonen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kosonen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Suomela's shoulder. That is not cool.

Kosonen is pressing down on Suomela's thigh, looking to free his foot. Suomela is holding on for now.

Suomela tries to lock up and control but Kosonen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kosonen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Suomela can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Kosonen lands a big shot there that rocks Suomela but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kosonen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Kosonen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Suomela to the mat! Suomela manages to get full guard.

Suomela escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kosonen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kosonen passes Suomela's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Valdemar Kosonen has got the better of the ground game so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kosonen lands a strong strike to the head of Suomela. That's dazed him! Kosonen looking to finish here. Suomela is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Kosonen lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
