Tyson comes to the cage accompanied by All I Do Is Win. David Tyson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Phillip McDowel's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phillip McDowel!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDowel avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tyson cracks McDowel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
McDowel wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Tyson.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson looking to ground and pound but McDowel is blocking nicely.

McDowel is looking to improve his position but Tyson isn't that keen on the idea.

Tyson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McDowel defends well.

Tyson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
McDowel is refusing to be controlled, as Tyson sits in half guard.

Tyson is looking for a kimura but McDowel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tyson to get the leverage.

McDowel is in trouble now - Tyson has advanced to mount!

Tyson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McDowel is on top in guard.
McDowel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tyson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McDowel's guard.
McDowel wants to sweep here but Tyson controlling him for the moment.
McDowel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
McDowel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tyson is one step ahead there.

Tyson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McDowel is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McDowel has escaped and now he's on top!

McDowel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Tyson has hold of McDowel's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and McDowel manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
McDowel tries to hold on but Tyson postures up.
Tyson is landing with some decent strikes but McDowel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
