Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Amir Faheem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Faheem might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tunak Tunak Tun. Rocha has chosen Refuse/Resist by Sepultura as his entrance music. Antonio Rocha has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Amir Faheem's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amir Faheem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Antonio Rocha!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faheem throws and low kick but Rocha moves out of range easily.
Faheem throws a leg kick that misses.
Faheem changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rocha tries to avoid it but Faheem manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rocha to the ground. Rocha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rocha connects with a nice looking jab.
Rocha throws a half hearted mid kick.
Faheem misses with a head kick.
Faheem lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rocha.
Rocha is looking to land body kicks.
Faheem throws a leg kick but Rocha moved away.
Rocha keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Faheem dives in and grabs Rocha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rocha pushes down on Faheem's head and hops out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Faheem is defended easily by Rocha.

Rocha is fighting off a takedown attempt but Faheem is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rocha to the mat. Rocha regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Rocha has hold of Faheem's hands but Faheem slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Faheem winds up and cracks Rocha with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Faheem wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rocha keeps working.
Rocha tries to roll over but Faheem keeps him under control.

The fighters are battling for position here. Rocha manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Faheem is pushing down on Rocha's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rocha is fighting to maintain full guard but Faheem has managed to sneak the leg through.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Faheem is working for a kimura but Rocha is defending it quite comfortably.

Faheem seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rocha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Faheem fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rocha checks it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Faheem wants to control for a moment but Rocha uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Faheem connects with a nice short shot to Rocha's temple.

Rocha looks like he's trying to stand up.
Faheem looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rocha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Faheem seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Faheem is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rocha defends it well.

Rocha moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Rocha had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Faheem defends it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Faheem tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Faheem has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Faheem quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Faheem but it's paid off an Rocha is forced to tap! Nice work by Faheem.
