Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Cyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Euzebiusz Palikot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palikot looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Palikot tries for a takedown but Cyde sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for Palikot with that takedown attempt.
Thiago Cyde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Euzebiusz Palikot.

Cyde shoots in and bounces Palikot off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cyde wants to control from the top but Palikot keeps moving.
Cyde wants to stand but Palikot has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Palikot wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cyde.
Palikot wants to control but Cyde is having none of it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cyde misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Palikot moves into the clinch.
Cyde has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Palikot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Cyde is trying to break the clinch but Palikot has him pressed against the cage.

Palikot's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Cyde decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Palikot's guard.

Cyde is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Palikot is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Palikot postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Palikot postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cyde is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Palikot, into his guard.

Cyde looking to sit in guard and control but Palikot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Cyde stands and steps away. Palikot gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cyde sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Palikot's guard.
Palikot is refusing to be controlled, as Cyde sits in half guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Still in half guard, Cyde seems content to control.
Cyde is looking to take a break and control but Palikot is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Cyde thows a huge punch but Palikot dodges it nicely.

Cyde wants to work for an arm triangle but Palikot is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cyde is looking to pass Palikot's guard but actually Palikot recovers to full guard.
Palikot is adopting a defensive guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Palikot can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cyde wants to control but Palikot is keeping him busy.

Thiago Cyde overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cyde takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Palikot trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Cyde controlling the pace for now.
Cyde misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Thiago Cyde showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cyde, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
