PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Noke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noke has chosen Stronger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeshi Yuudai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Noke!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noke ducks under a wild hook from Yuudai.
Noke throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Noke throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Noke thows a body shot but no joy.
Yuudai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Noke swivels and escapes.
Yuudai on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Noke lands with a nice combination. Yuudai backs away looking to recover.
Noke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yuudai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noke slaps away a takedown attempt from Yuudai, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Yuudai scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Noke moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Noke can't keep his opponent in guard - Yuudai advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Yuudai wants to free his trapped foot but Noke is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Noke is looking for a sweep. Yuudai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Yuudai misses the shot to the body.
Good exchange - Noke coming out on top.
Noke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yuudai defending well as Noke loads up on a big left hand.

Yuudai closes the distance and clinches up with Noke, looking for a takedown. Yuudai pushes Noke against the cage but Noke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Noke lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Yuudai has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Yuudai tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yuudai has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Takeshi Yuudai will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Yuudai goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Noke rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Yuudai's guard! Nice work there by Noke!
Noke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yuudai. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Yuudai dives in and grabs Noke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Noke pushes down on Yuudai's head and hops out.

Noke is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Yuudai off and has taken his back!

Noke is looking to control Yuudai but Yuudai is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Noke tries to stand but can't do so whilst Yuudai controls his leg.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Noke lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Yuudai is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Yuudai is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Noke defends it well.

Takeshi Yuudai showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Yuudai has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
