The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiepski fails to land the takedown.
Kiepski jabs at Malla's body.
Malla fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Malla.
Kiepski doesn't manage to clinch there - Malla circles away.

Oooh a lovely combination from Kiepski sends Malla down but not out. Kiepski dives into side control looking to finish.

Malla is rocked!

It looks like Khalil Malla has been cut.
Kiepski creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Malla sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Oh Malla is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Malla is not content to let Kiepski control the position.
Malla defending against the ground and pound.
Sloppy strikes there by Kiepski.
Malla seems to have got his legs back now.
Malla is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Kiepski sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Malla is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kiepski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kiepski wants the takedown. Malla is fighting it off but Kiepski persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Malla's guard against the cage.

Malla wants to stand but Kiepski is controlling the position.
Kiepski throws and elbow that misses. Malla uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kiepski's guard. Nice move by Malla!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kiepski throws his legs up looking for a submission but Malla uses it to pass to side control.
Kiepski tries to control but Malla manages to take his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malla controlling well, preventing Kiepski from escaping the position.
Kiepski covering up well and avoiding damage.
Malla biding his time, controlling Kiepski.
Kiepski trying to get back to his feet but Malla is in full control for now.

Malla working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Kiepski is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Malla has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Kiepski taps out!
