Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Konrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacob Konrad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Randy Rogan!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konrad chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rogan can pounce on him.

Rogan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Konrad, pushing him back against the cage.
Rogan takes a knee right on the jaw!
Rogan avoids the elbow strike from Konrad, against the cage.
Konrad goes for a takedown attempt but Rogan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Rogan darts in and clinches Konrad up against the cage.
Konrad is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rogan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Konrad wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jacob Konrad. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Konrad breaks the clinch.
Rogan fails with a takedown attempt.

Rogan gets a takedown into half guard.
Konrad is trying to stand.

Rogan wants to control but Konrad is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Konrad is looking to escape.
Rogan is looking to advance position but Konrad won't allow it.
Rogan is looking to stall here but Konrad recovers full guard.
Rogan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rogan wanted to stand there but Konrad had control of the position.
Konrad on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Konrad tries to get out of the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rogan ducks under a wild hook from Konrad.
Rogan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Konrad avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rogan wants to clinch up but Konrad keeps it at a distance.

Rogan moves into the clinch.
Konrad tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Rogan dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Rogan shoots in but no luck this time.

Konrad darts in and clinches Rogan up against the cage.
Rogan can't get the takedown.

Konrad's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Konrad.
Randy Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogan swats away the attempt to clinch by Konrad.
Rogan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rogan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jacob Konrad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randy Rogan.
Konrad wants to clinch.
Rogan tries to close the distance and clinch but Konrad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Konrad drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rogan wants to sweep but no luck.

Konrad gets to his feet. Rogan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Rogan tries to clinch up but Konrad circles away and keeps his distance.
Konrad missing with a left hand there. Rogan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Rogan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rogan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Konrad's head.
Konrad pushes Rogan off looking to stand but Rogan dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rogan wants to take a breather but Konrad is having none of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rogan trying to mount his opponent but Konrad defends it.
Konrad wants to get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Konrad has one foot on Rogan's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Rogan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Konrad counters with a body kick.
Konrad throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Konrad misses with the combination.
Rogan avoids the head kick by Konrad.
Rogan blocks a head kick by Konrad.
Rogan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Konrad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Rogan moves into the clinch successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Konrad dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Rogan tries to clinch
and Konrad counters with a left and a right that stings Rogan.
Konrad lands with a kick to the temple. Rogan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Rogan shoots in but Konrad avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rogan blocks a head kick by Konrad.
Konrad fails in his attempt to clinch.
A swing and a miss from Konrad.

Rogan clinches.
Konrad tries a knee to the head but Rogan blocks it.
Rogan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Konrad is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rogan is defending well for now.

Rogan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Konrad tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rogan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Konrad with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rogan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Konrad is refusing to be controlled, as Rogan sits in half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Konrad manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Konrad misses with a head kick.

Rogan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Konrad's guard.

Konrad throws a strike but Rogan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Konrad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacob Konrad.
I think Konrad has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
