Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Fajardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Pejkaiya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piotr Pejkaiya will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pejkaiya fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fajardo checks it well.
Pejkaiya attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Fajardo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Pejkaiya. Pejkaiya obviously looking to wear him down.
Fajardo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pejkaiya is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pejkaiya. Fajardo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pejkaiya tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pejkaiya explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Pejkaiya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fajardo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Fajardo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pejkaiya sprawls well initially but Fajardo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fajardo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pejkaiya pinned against the cage. Pejkaiya gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pejkaiya is pressed up against the cage. Fajardo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pejkaiya down to the mat. Pejkaiya avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Pejkaiya throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pejkaiya shoots in for a takedown but Fajardo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Fajardo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pejkaiya's guard now.

Pejkaiya is trying to escape the position but Fajardo is controlling the position.
Fajardo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Pejkaiya is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fajardo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pejkaiya had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fajardo defends it easily.

Pejkaiya is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fajardo defends well.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fajardo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fajardo throws a big right hand that misses.
Pejkaiya is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pejkaiya looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fajardo moves out of range of the body kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pejkaiya tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Fajardo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pejkaiya's guard.

Fajardo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pejkaiya to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fajardo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pejkaiya pulls down on the head and he's put Fajardo to sleep! This one is all over!
