Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sal Pacino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Muse - Knights of Cydonia as his entrance music. Sal Pacino looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacino throws out a loose jab but Thomas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pacino tries to clinch up but Thomas circles away and keeps his distance.

Pacino fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Pacino pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pacino shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thomas's guard.
Pacino postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pacino wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving.

Thomas jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pacino manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Thomas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thomas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pacino knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Thomas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pacino has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Thomas but great work by Pacino.
Thomas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pacino off and has taken his back!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Pacino manages to reverse the position and now he's in Thomas's guard. Nice work there by Pacino.
Pacino wants to pass the guard but Thomas is keeping the position.
Pacino is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Thomas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Thomas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pacino pulls his leg out and moves away.

Pacino tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thomas swivels and escapes.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Pacino tries to close the distance and clinch but Thomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pacino.

Thomas darts in and clinches Pacino up against the cage.
Pacino fails to pull guard.
Thomas has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pacino is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pacino fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pacino is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Thomas goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pacino prevents it.
Thomas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pacino smiles and moves away.
Thomas blocks the body kick.

Pacino successfully pulls guard.
Thomas wants to pass the guard but Pacino is keeping the position.
Pacino looking for a sweep. Not yet Pacino, not yet.

Pacino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thomas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pacino working for submissions but it's allowed Thomas to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pacino works his way to full guard. Good work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Thomas wants to pass the guard but Pacino is keeping the position.
Pacino is wriggling around but Thomas manages to pass to half guard.
Thomas has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pacino has given up his back. Will we see Thomas going for some submissions?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ryan Thomas will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pacino as he jumps to the side.
Pacino does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pacino clinches.
Pacino has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Thomas uses from the top position.
Pacino is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Pacino wants to sweep here but Thomas controlling him for the moment.
Pacino might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thomas wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pacino.

Thomas is trying desperately to improve position.

Pacino with shots to the head and body - Thomas looks very uncomfortable down there.
Thomas seems to have recovered his senses.
Pacino jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Thomas is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Thomas and Pacino has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Thomas wants to control but Pacino postures up.
Pacino passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Thomas!

Sal Pacino showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Thomas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
