Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roy Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nelson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hitla, pushing him back against the cage.

Nelson breaks from the clinch.
Nelson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hitla as he jumps to the side.
Adolf Hitla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hitla pushes Nelson up against the cage in a clinch.

Nelson pulls Hitla into guard.
Nelson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hitla looking to sit in guard and control but Nelson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hitla keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully.
Hitla seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hitla is on top in guard.
Hitla showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Nelson is adopting a defensive guard.
Hitla is looking to stand up but Nelson won't let him.
Nelson is trying to keep Hitla in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hitla is looking to work some ground and pound but Nelson has wrist control.
Hitla looking to pass the guard.
Hitla is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Hitla is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hitla sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nelson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hitla tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nelson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hitla leaves Nelson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Hitla shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Adolf Hitla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roy Nelson.
Hitla fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Hitla counters with a takedown into side control.

Hitla controlling from side mount.
Hitla wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nelson keeps working.
Nelson tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hitla presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Nelson is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adolf Hitla dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Hitla gets a takedown into half guard.
Nelson wants to control but Hitla is keeping busy.
Hitla works his foot free and advances to mount.
Nelson tries to control Hitla's body but Hitla pushes him off. Nelson squirms to his side and now Hitla has his back!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hitla loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Nelson hold on?
Nelson controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Hitla working for the choke.
Hitla is not going to allow Nelson to sit and survive in this position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hitla lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Hitla.
Hitla misses with a punch to the head.

Nelson won't enjoy being in this position. Hitla looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Nelson is tapping - it's over boys! Hitla picks up the submission victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Adolf Hitla!
