Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jordan Simon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon misses with a wild combination.
Thomas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dallas Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Thomas misses with a few strikes there.
A shot to de liver by Simon. Beautiful body shot.
Simon moves in looking to clinch but Thomas pushes him off.

Thomas lands with a nice combination. Simon backs away looking to recover.
Thomas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Simon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Thomas is breathing heavily.
Simon throws a low kick, looking for Thomas's leg but Thomas calmly moves out of range.
Thomas throws a nice looking combination but Simon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Simon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like Simon is going to stand back up.
Simon is keen to just control but Thomas is a slippery customer.
Thomas tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Simon stands up out of the half guard.
Simon tries to clinch there but Thomas circles away.
Thomas misses with a few strikes there.
Simon fails with an attempt to clinch.

Simon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Simon advances to mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Simon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Simon looking to control but Thomas is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Simon looking to control and managing it successfully.
Simon trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Simon with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Simon tries to control but Thomas wriggling away.
Thomas swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Thomas wants to hold on but Simon pushes him away.
Simon blocks Thomas's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Simon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jordan Simon just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Thomas misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Simon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thomas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Simon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Thomas paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Thomas keeps the fight on the outside.
Simon scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Simon is looking to clinch.
Thomas takes one on the chin but seems OK.


Thomas is rocked!
Simon drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Thomas right on the button. Thomas goes down! Simon follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Simon gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jordan Simon!
