Rivers comes into the arena with hed(pe)- Bartender blaring out of the sound system. Aiden Rivers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Rivers avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones wants to clinch.
Rivers misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rivers fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones stuffs the takedown.

Rivers is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Rivers eventually gives up the hold.

Rivers jumps guard but Jones stands there with Rivers around his waist. Rivers gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Rivers tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Rivers drops back down to his feet.

Rivers is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rivers regains guard.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rivers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rivers looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones looking to improve position, pressing down on Rivers's thigh with his hand. Rivers seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Jones paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Jones's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Rivers picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
