Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eli Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Bautista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dave Bautista!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bautista bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A jab-cross combination lands for Brooks and sends Bautista crashing to the mat! Brooks follows him down to the mat - Bautista regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


It looks like Dave Bautista has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brooks is trying to control the action in half guard but Bautista is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Brooks landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.


That has opened up Dave Bautista's cut even more.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dave Bautista's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Brooks here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eli Brooks.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brooks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
