Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Squirtle Blastoise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blastoise has chosen Squirtle is one bad mother! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Akiyama.
Akiyama tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Blastoise tries to clinch but Akiyama moves out of range.
Blastoise avoids the body shot from Akiyama.

Akiyama looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Blastoise!
Blastoise keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Blastoise is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Akiyama wants to control the pace but Blastoise is squirming around nicely.
Blastoise sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Akiyama stalling.

Akiyama wants to stand but Blastoise has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Blastoise tries to roll over but Akiyama keeps him under control.
Blastoise has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Akiyama is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blastoise is trying to get back to full guard.
Akiyama seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blastoise does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Akiyama knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blastoise on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Blastoise tries to get to full guard but Akiyama has control of the leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A big left from Blastoise misses.
Akiyama closes the distance but Blastoise moves to the side

and Blastoise counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Akiyama's guard now.
Akiyama throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Akiyama looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blastoise passes into side control.
Blastoise postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Akiyama struggling a bit here.
Blastoise misses with the ground and pound.

Blastoise tries for a kimura but Akiyama is defending well.
Akiyama is trying to improve his position.
Akiyama on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Akiyama tries to get out of the position.

Blastoise has an Americana. Akiyama didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Blastoise is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Blastoise hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
