Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Atreides (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atreides's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, HERE WE GOOOOO!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Atreides shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wein manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wein is trying to keep Atreides in close.
Atreides thows a big elbow that misses.
Wein can't keep his opponent in guard - Atreides advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Atreides looks to land a strike but Wein avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Atreides wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wein, who protects the arm well.

Atreides tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Atreides has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wein is trying to improve his position.
Wein gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Atreides tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wein knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Atreides is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wein is just riding it out for now. Atreides eventually gives up the hold.

Wein throws a lazy right hand but Atreides sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Paul Atreides seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Atreides jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wein walks away with a smile on his face. Atreides gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Wein scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wein throws a lazy right hand but Atreides sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Atreides tries to clinch up but Wein circles away and keeps his distance.
Wein throws a leg kick but Atreides sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Atreides fails with a takedown attempt.
Wein missing with a left hand there. Atreides was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Wein cracks Atreides with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Atreides fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Atreides loads up on a big right hand but Wein slips the punch.

Atreides jumps guard but Wein stands there with Atreides around his waist. Atreides gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wein is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Atreides has denied him.

Atreides feints and as Wein raises his hands in defense, Atreides changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Atreides is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wein is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wein has escaped and now he's on top!

Atreides lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wein!

Wein has left one of his arms exposed and Atreides doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Wein screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
