The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lapid drives through with a takedown into guard.
amoussou throws a couple of heel strikes.
Lapid connects with a couple of short punches.

The referee asks Lapid politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lapid prefers to stall for the moment though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
amoussou is looking to regain half guard here but Lapid keeps moving and retains side control.
Lapid controls the position from side control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lito Lapid just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
amoussou tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lapid swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lapid throws a series of punches but amoussou avoids them all with ease.
amoussou gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lapid counters with a nice double leg into side control. amoussou won't be happy with that.
amoussou tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Lapid presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lapid tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

This one could be over very soon! Lapid goes limp - he's gone! amoussou jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
