Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ronn Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikael Koskinen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moss misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Moss tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koskinen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Moss takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Koskinen feints and as Moss raises his hands in defense, Koskinen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Koskinen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Koskinen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Moss wants to sweep but no luck.
Moss can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Koskinen controls the pace.
Koskinen trying to control but Moss is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moss is trying to keep Koskinen in close.
Koskinen working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Koskinen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Moss working for a triangle but Koskinen defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koskinen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Moss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koskinen defends well.
Moss escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Koskinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koskinen is pushing down on Moss's leg trying to pass to half guard. Moss is fighting to maintain full guard but Koskinen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Koskinen works his way into full mount!
BOOM! Koskinen connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Moss taking shots to the head.
Moss is trying desperately to improve position.
Koskinen with shots to the head and body - Moss looks very uncomfortable down there.
Moss is rocked!
Koskinen postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Moss in real trouble here! The ref calls for Moss to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikael Koskinen!
