Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber fails with the takedown.
No joy there for Ross, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Faber bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Faber shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ross as he avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Faber is defended easily by Ross.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Urijah Faber. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Urijah Faber has been cut.
Faber closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ross circles away.
Ross throws an overhand right that lands on Faber's shoulder, as Faber tries to avoid the shot.

Ross misses with an uppercut.
Ross moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Ross shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ross is trying to control the action in half guard but Faber is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ross takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ross has control of Faber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Faber regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Ross postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Faber looks a forlorn figure.

Ross cracks Faber with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Faber is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Ross working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Faber turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ross off and cradles Faber's limp body as Ross celebrates with his corner.
