The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack misses with an attempted mid kick.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mack as he jumps to the side.
Rhodes shoots for a takedown but Mack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
John Rhodes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rhodes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mack but Mack pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stephawm Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Rhodes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mack moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mack rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rhodes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mack throws a right and a left that Rhodes avoids nicely.
Mack tries to bum rush Rhodes with a series of wild strikes but Rhodes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mack throws a right hand that Rhodes ducks under and follows up with a left that Rhodes also avoids with ease.
Rhodes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rhodes misses with a takedown attempt - Mack sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rhodes shoots in and drives through. Mack sprawls well.
Mack misses with a series of wild punches.
Stephawm Mack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No joy there for Mack, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rhodes slips a jab and a cross from Mack.
Mack drops Rhodes with a right and a left! Mack comes rushing in but Rhodes regains his composure and manages to keep Mack in guard.
It looks like John Rhodes has been cut.
Mack is breathing heavily.
Mack prevents Rhodes from getting back to his feet.

Mack is sitting in close to Rhodes's body. Rhodes has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mack is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mack is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rhodes.
