PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Hammett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hetfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammett comes to the ring accompanied by For Whom The Bell Tolls. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hetfield's choice of entrance music: Harvester of Sorrow. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammett is looking to clinch but Hetfield is avoiding it.
Hammett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hetfield was well out of range. Poor timing from Hammett.

Hammett decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hammett trying to control the action but Hetfield is working from the bottom.
Hammett throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Hammett is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Hammett not landing any meaningful shots this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hammett working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Hetfield's thigh. Hetfield counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Hammett trying to control but Hetfield is working from the bottom.
Hammett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hetfield keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hammett misses with a looping right.
Hammett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hetfield moves away.

Hetfield has Hammett up against the ropes in a clinch.
Hammett is trying to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Hetfield pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
The referee is keeping an eye on Hammett - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Hetfield just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hammett's brow.
Hetfield landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

It looks like Kirk Hammett has been cut.

Hammett is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hetfield is keeping busy.

Hetfield connects with a knee right up the middle there - that's rocked Hammett badly! Hammett tumbles to the floor and Hetfield stands over him, dominant and satisfied with his glorious KO victory!
