Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Marcelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Forever as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Marcelo as Silva shoots in.
Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marcelo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silva somewhat.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marcelo tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marcelo to the ground. Marcelo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carlos Marcelo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Silva.
Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Marcelo defends it nicely.
A slapping leg kick lands for Marcelo.
Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Marcelo tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.

Caio Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marcelo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Marcelo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marcelo manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Marcelo's guard.

Marcelo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Marcelo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.

Marcelo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marcelo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marcelo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marcelo has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Marcelo wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Silva has his feet on Marcelo's thighs here. He's pushed Marcelo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Marcelo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
