Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bismol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepper Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bismol comes to the cage accompanied by Here Comes The Pain. Pepper Edgar has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Bismol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Pepper Edgar!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bismol swivels and escapes.
Edgar shoots in for a takedown but Bismol shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Edgar fails with the takedown.
Matt Bismol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pepper Edgar.
Bismol fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Edgar on the side of the head.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Edgar, right into the meat.
A left lands for Bismol.
Edgar on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Edgar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bismol scores with the left hand. Edgar knows he should have avoided that one.

Bismol has gone for a leg lock! Edgar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bismol's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bismol is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Edgar defends well.
Edgar wants to control from the top but Bismol keeps moving.

Bismol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edgar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edgar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Edgar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bismol has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Edgar has managed to get both his arms back between Bismol's legs - danger averted.
Bismol is breathing heavily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Edgar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Edgar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bismol has his foot on Edgar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Edgar works his way back into a safe position though.
Bismol bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edgar's guard.

Bismol drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bismol jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bismol slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Edgar can't do much from the bottom here.
Bismol is looking to take a break and control but Edgar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

and Bismol counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bismol catches Edgar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Edgar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Bismol has managed to clinch.
Edgar fails to pull guard.

Bismol makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Bismol manages to break the clinch.
Bismol ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bismol scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Edgar shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Edgar is rocked!
Edgar is breathing heavily.
Edgar ducks under a wild hook from Bismol.
Edgar is still on wobbly legs! Can Bismol finish him?

Bismol shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Edgar is on queer street and Bismol is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
