The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaah shoots in but Santana avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shaah walks into a left hand.
Shaah looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Imran Shaah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaah shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Santana pinned against the cage. Santana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Imran Shaah. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Shaah shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santana as he avoids it easily.
Santana connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Shaah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Santana avoids it really well and circles away.

Santana cracks Shaah with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Shaah dives in and grabs Santana's left leg, looking for a takedown. Santana pushes down on Shaah's head and hops out.
Santana connects with a right hand. Shaah shakes it off.

Santana lands a big uppercut and Shaah crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shaah looks OK. Santana waves Shaah back to his feet!

Shaah is rocked!
Shaah is breathing heavily.
Shaah takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Santana swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shaah.
Oh Shaah is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Santana throws a monster overhand right that drops Shaah! Santana follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
