Silva is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mack the knife. Benoit Kong has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to land a leg kick but Kong saw it coming and moves away.
Silva scores with a jab.

It looks like Benoit Kong has been cut.
Kong slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Sam Dos Silva has been cut.
Silva throws a hook but Kong blocks it.
Silva scores with a hook.
Silva throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kong.
Kong lands with a cross.
Silva moves away from the strike by Kong.
Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Kong, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kong misses with a hook.
Silva throws a leg kick but Kong checks it.

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Kong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kong is controlling him.

Kong throws a big right hand that misses.

Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kong!
Kong is looking to get to half guard.
Silva avoids the attempt from Kong to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silva thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kong can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kong tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva scoring with strikes but Kong is staying in there.
Kong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kong is trying to maintain the position but Silva is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Silva waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kong.
Silva throws a head kick but Kong moves out of range.
Kong shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Kong looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Crunch! Silva slams his shin into Kong's torso.
Kong is breathing heavily.
Silva throws a series of punches but Kong avoids them all with ease.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.
Silva misses with a kick to the body.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Kong circles away.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kong.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sam Dos Silva will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kong has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Kong's head.
Kong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Kong persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kong's calf.

A jab-cross combination lands for Silva and sends Kong crashing to the mat! Silva follows him down to the mat - Kong regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Kong is rocked!
Silva wants to get back to his feet.
Oh Kong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva wants to pass to mount but Kong is defending the position.
Kong seems to have got his legs back now.
Kong trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kong moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kong is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva wants to control from the top but Kong keeps moving.

Kong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kong pushes a forearm under Silva's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Silva is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
