Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Barry Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Rock Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar just misses with a punch to the body.
Lesnar wants to clinch.

Lesnar stuffs the takedown attempt from Hill. Hill gets slowly back to his feet.
A slow jab from Lesnar misses its intended target.
Hill closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Rock Lesnar has been cut.
Hill moves out of range of the strikes.

Hill clinches up against the cage.

Hill has his foot on Lesnar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lesnar works his way back into a safe position though.

Lesnar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hill has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lesnar has managed to get both his arms back between Hill's legs - danger averted.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lesnar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lesnar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hill wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lesnar with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hill bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lesnar's guard.
Lesnar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hill is one step ahead there.
Lesnar controls Hill momentarily but Hill frees himself.

Hill controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hill wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving.

Hill slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Barry Hill just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
The fighters circling - Lesnar throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lesnar loads up on a big right hand but Hill slips the punch.

Hill clinches.
Hill tries to score a body lock takedown but Lesnar shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Lesnar is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hill is defending well for now.
Hill wants a takedown.
Hill goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lesnar prevents it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hill drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Lesnar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hill is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Lesnar closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hill counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hill checks a low kick from Lesnar.
Lesnar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hill.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Hill.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hill has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lesnar holds on for dear life, controlling Hill's posture momentarily.

Hill seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lesnar for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hill throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lesnar's waist but Lesnar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hill off to one side.

Lesnar might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Hill shoots in looking for a takedown. Lesnar tries to sprawl out of it but Hill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lesnar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lesnar leaves Hill with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lesnar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hill was well out of range. Poor timing from Lesnar.
A jab from Lesnar does it's job there.
Lesnar takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Hill's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Barry Hill.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
