The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avers throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hardy on the side of the head.
Avers lands a jab to the head.
Avers misses with a series of wild punches.
Hardy throws a quick inside leg kick.
Avers lands a nice hook to Hardy's body. Hardy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Avers drives through with a takedown into guard.
Avers drops back looking for a leg! Hardy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hardy manages to kick Avers off! Avers jumps back into Hardy's guard.
Avers is looking to work some ground and pound but Hardy has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Avers drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Avers as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Hardy screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Avers! Nice submission victory there!
