Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mozy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Penn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mozy slips a jab and a cross from Penn.
Penn throws a nice looking combination but Mozy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mozy moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mozy slips a straight right by Penn.
Mozy is looking to clinch but Penn is avoiding it.
Penn throws a head kick but Mozy moves out of range.
Penn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Penn duly obliges.
Penn misses with a hook.

Mozy gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Penn manages to break the clinch.

Mozy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mozy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Penn keeps working.
Mozy content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Mozy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Mozy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Penn wants to hold on but Mozy pushes him away.

Penn tries to hold on but Mozy pushes him away.

Mozy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Penn, pushing him back against the cage.

Mozy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Penn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Penn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mozy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Penn but Penn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Penn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mozy - the referee stops the clock and Penn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mozy. Penn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Mozy tries to bum rush Penn with a series of wild strikes but Penn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Penn throws a head kick but Mozy moves out of range.
Ozy Mozy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Mozy lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Mozy goes for a takedown attempt but Penn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Vitor Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mozy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Penn pushes Mozy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mozy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
