The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko looks for the body kick but Grundmanis saw that one coming.
Emelianenko throws a nice looking combination but Grundmanis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Grundmanis rushes Emelianenko and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Emelianenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Grundmanis has him pressed against the ropes.

Emelianenko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Grundmanis is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Emelianenko to the mat. Emelianenko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
