Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Ellen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose comes to the cage accompanied by Mama Said Knock You Out. Jake Ellen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ellen shoots in and drives through. Rose sprawls well.
A punch combination from Rose misses.
Rose fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rose throws a series of strikes that have Ellen backpedaling.
Rose connects with a right hand. Ellen shakes it off.
Ellen tries to clinch up but Rose circles away and keeps his distance.

Rose feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rose seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ellen for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rose postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ellen takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
You can see the frustration on Ellen's face as Rose controls the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Rose lands a nice shot to the body.
