Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blood And Thunder - Mastodon. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brady drops Silva with a beautiful combination! Silva stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Brady is looking for the KO!
Brady fails to land with a series of punches.
Brady shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brady to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brady postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Brady stands up from Silva's guard - Brady perhaps looking for a knockout.
Brady tries to clinch there but Silva circles away.
Brady shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brady throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
Brady dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Brady's head and hops out.

Brady tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Brady pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brady closes the distance looking to clinch
and Silva counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brady's knee momentarily.
Brady takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Silva throws a right hand that Brady ducks under and follows up with a left that Brady also avoids with ease.
