Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Joans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quick feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Joans's calf.
Quick thumps Joans with a low kick.
Joans throws a jab when Quick was well out of range.
Joans throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Quick.
Joe Quick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quick swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Joans blocks a head kick by Quick.
Quick rushes Joans and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Quick breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Quick takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Joe Quick has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Joans lands a lovely overhand right.
Quick tries to clinch up but Joans circles away and keeps his distance.
Quick looks to land a combination but Joans avoids it well.
Quick seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Joans shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Quick is backing up but Joans catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Quick covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Joans Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mikey Joans!
