Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Yen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donnie Yen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donnie Yen!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carwin gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Yen is trying to stand.
Carwin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

It looks like Donnie Yen has been cut.
Carwin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Yen defending well though.
Yen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carwin.
Yen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Carwin escapes and gets back to his feet.
Yen doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Carwin counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yen won't be happy with that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carwin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yen keeps working.
Carwin landing strikes.
Carwin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That has opened up Donnie Yen's cut even more.

Carwin stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Carwin rushes Yen and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Yen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carwin smiles and moves away.

Carwin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Carwin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Carwin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yen is just riding it out for now. Carwin eventually gives up the hold.
Carwin stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yen pushes Carwin off looking to stand but Carwin dives back in and keeps control.
Carwin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Carwin uses his free foot to push down on Yen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Yen.

Carwin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The cut above Donnie Yen's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Donnie Yen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Carwin working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Donnie Yen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
