The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkins dives in and grabs Nunes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nunes pushes down on Wilkins's head and hops out.

Wilkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nunes's guard.

Nunes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wilkins defends well.

Wilkins shoots in but Nunes avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Wilkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nunes tries to avoid it but Wilkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nunes to the ground. Nunes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wilkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nunes sprawls well initially but Wilkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wilkins has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nunes defend it? Wilkins steps over the head and cranks it - Nunes is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wilkins!
