Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Okezaki Kamasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Okezaki Kamasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kamasi but Kamasi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jackson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jackson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kamasi wants to clinch.
Kamasi throws a front kick aimed at Jackson's knee but Jackson avoids it well.
Jackson shoots for a takedown but Kamasi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kamasi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jab, jab by Kamasi - just one landing.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kamasi as he jumps to the side.
Okezaki Kamasi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Jackson.
Kamasi tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.
Kamasi misses with a hook.

Jackson is working for takedown but Kamasi is calmly controlling the position for now.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kamasi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jackson.
Jackson looks gassed!

Kamasi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get!
Kamasi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Kamasi counters with a left and a right that stings Jackson.

Kamasi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Kamasi counters with a straight right hand.

Jackson feints and as Kamasi raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Kamasi is working an open guard so Jackson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Jackson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kamasi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jackson gets the takedown into side control.
Kamasi is looking for a sweep.
Kamasi wants to get back to his feet but Jackson drags him back down.
Kamasi is trying to improve his position.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kamasi has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kamasi is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jackson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Jackson avoids the strikes from the bottom by Kamasi.

Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jackson decides to stand back up.
Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kamasi is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Kamasi circles away and we're back to standing.

Kamasi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jackson in his tracks.
Kamasi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kamasi wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Kamasi keeps moving.
Jackson won't allow Kamasi to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson connects with a couple of short punches.
Jackson stands up over Kamasi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Kamasi is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Jackson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Kamasi has Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.

Okezaki Kamasi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Jackson.
Jackson has Kamasi pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kamasi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Kamasi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kamasi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jackson's head.

Kamasi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jackson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Kamasi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kamasi lands a couple of elbows.
Kamasi won't allow Jackson to sweep him here.
Kamasi passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kamasi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
Daniel Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jackson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kamasi's best efforts.

Jackson is looking for a sweep. Kamasi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

It looks like Kamasi is going to stand back up.
Jackson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kamasi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kamasi lands in his opponent's guard.
Kamasi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.

Kamasi is looking to stand up but Jackson won't let him.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Okezaki Kamasi dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kamasi is trying to escape back to his feet but Jackson uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Jackson in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kamasi is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
