Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Earl Oyster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendall comes to the cage accompanied by Kool Moe Dee - I Go To Work. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oyster misses with an uppercut. Kendall saw that one coming.
Oyster throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oyster gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Oyster wants to stand but Kendall is controlling the position.
Kendall is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kendall throws and elbow that misses. Oyster uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kendall's guard. Nice move by Oyster!

Oyster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kendall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oyster has managed to get both his arms back between Kendall's legs - danger averted.
Oyster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Oyster avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

and Oyster counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Kendall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kendall shoots in for a double leg but Oyster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oyster scores with a nice head shot.
Kurt Kendall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kendall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Oyster sprawls well. Oyster wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kendall gets slowly back to his feet.
Kendall is breathing heavily.
Nice body punch from Oyster.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oyster scores with a hook to the body. Kendall takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Oyster lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Oyster lands a left and a right that send Kendall crashing to the mat, dazed. Oyster thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kendall is rocked!
Oyster lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kendall at a distance.
Oyster is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Kendall hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
