PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ehm Aliaha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Les Grossman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ehm Aliaha has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ehm Aliaha seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aliaha scores with a jab.

Grossman tries to clinch but Aliaha is having none of it.

Aliaha scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Grossman dives in and grabs Aliaha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aliaha pushes down on Grossman's head and hops out.
Grossman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd cheers as Aliaha lands an impressive looking overhand right. Grossman doesn't seem phased though.

Grossman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aliaha pinned against the cage. Aliaha gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grossman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Aliaha scores with the left hand. Grossman knows he should have avoided that one.
Grossman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aliaha but Aliaha pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ehm Aliaha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Les Grossman.

Grossman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
