The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benn misses with a wild combination.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Benn looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Piper tries to lock up and control but Benn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Benn misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BOOM! Benn connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Benn unloads with some shots from mount but Piper bucks and avoids them well.
Benn throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Piper because Benn loaded up on that one.
Benn thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Benn landing strikes, looking to finish!
Piper gets back to half guard.
Benn is tying to control. Piper wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Benn missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Benn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Piper lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Benn misses with a few strikes there.
Piper tries a head kick but it misses.
Piper connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Benn to the floor! Piper dives in looking for the finish!
Benn is still in real trouble! Can Piper finish him?
Piper is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Benn tries to get to full guard but Piper has control of the leg.
Piper blocks the strikes from Benn.
Benn seems to have recovered his senses.
Benn wants to control but Piper is keeping busy.
Benn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Benn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Benn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Benn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Piper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Benn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Piper!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
