The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Goode. Lu does a little dance to reset his feet.
No luck for Lu with that takedown attempt.
Goode ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lu moves away.

Lu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goode has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lu has managed to get both his arms back between Goode's legs - danger averted.

Lu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Lu wants to get up but he can't break Goode's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Goode. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Lu closes the distance and clinches up with Goode, looking for a takedown. Lu pushes Goode against the cage but Goode circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lu rushes Goode with punches - Goode moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Goode goes down! Lu follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
